Drilling Training
Equipe has a network of Drilling and Cable Percussion Trainers and Supervisors who provide Academy based or site based training.
This training can be used to introduce or refresh Drilling Support and Lead Drillers to new techniques or during the transition period between techniques.
Courses are provided for :

- Geothermal Drilling
- Cable Percussion
- Dynamic Sampling
Eurocode Drilling Training - Qualified Operator
Eurocodes require that all field and site operatives are competent and suitably trained for the activity they are employed to carry out. CEN 22475 : Part 2 which is currently in public consultation requires the Qualified Operator to
Basic knowledge of :
- the purpose of the geotechnical ground investigation
- geological , soil and rock
- mechanical and hydrogeological fundamental principles
Knowledge of :
- specified parts of sampling and groundwater measurements – including borehole backfilling, handling, transport and storage, completion of records
- preliminary identification of soil and rock
- Functioning, safe operation of the equipment (including field checks)
- Quality assurance system
- Contribute to health and safety in the workplace
- Operate the equipment correctly and safely
The Drilling Academy provides a 2 day Qualified Operator course to allow companies to ensure they remain compliant.
